Trip Overview

Embark on an exhilarating 18-day Island Peak Climbing Expedition, an ideal choice for trekkers looking to step into the world of high-altitude mountaineering. This comprehensive package begins by following the classic Everest Base Camp trekking route, allowing for gradual acclimatization and breathtaking views of the Everest region's iconic peaks and Sherpa culture. After reaching Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar, the expedition diverts towards Island Peak (Imja Tse, 6,189m / 20,305ft), known as Nepal's most popular 'trekking peak' due to its accessible yet challenging climb. Under the expert guidance of certified climbing guides, you'll receive essential mountaineering training, including glacier travel and fixed rope techniques, preparing you for the summit push. The ascent itself involves crossing a glacier, using ladders, and navigating a fixed rope section to reach the narrow summit ridge. From the top, you'll be rewarded with a spectacular 360-degree panorama of Lhotse, Makalu, Baruntse, Ama Dablam, and countless other Himalayan giants. This expedition offers a profound sense of achievement, blending a classic trek with a true mountaineering experience.
