Tucked away in the remote folds of Nepal’s Annapurna region, Tilicho Lake Trek is a breathtaking journey to one of the world’s highest lakes, resting at an altitude of 4,919 meters. Surrounded by the snow-draped giants of the Himalayas, Tilicho Lake is not just a natural wonder, but a sacred site for many, offering a blend of spiritual calm and raw alpine beauty.
Unlike the regular Annapurna Circuit, the Tilicho route takes you off the beaten path—through deep gorges, remote villages, high cliffs, and arid alpine landscapes—to the tranquil turquoise waters of Tilicho Lake. The journey rewards you with spectacular views of Annapurna II, III, IV, Gangapurna, and Tilicho Peak, along with rich cultural encounters with the Gurung, Thakali, and Manangi communities.
This trek is ideal for trekkers seeking adventure, altitude, and a more rugged Himalayan experience without technical climbing. After visiting Tilicho Lake, many trekkers continue over Thorong La Pass (5,416m), making this a truly high-altitude adventure.
